Tamara coordinates ranch and vineyard sales, guest events, hospitality, wine industry relations.
As a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and classically-trained French chef, Tamara is passionate about the undeniable difference in quality of free-range, local, sustainable, and organic ingredient sourcing. She emphasizes this same philosophy in Thompson Vineyard’s farming and ranching practices, and believes the less the land is manipulated the more its true spirit can be felt through the wines it yields.
In addition to her culinary endeavors, Tamara has been a practicing attorney since 2003. She earned her law degree at UC Davis and spent 10 years in and out of trial as a business litigator and Fortune 500 class action defense specialist. She eventually decided to step away from big-firm life and shift her practice to the more efficient art of mediation, where she is now certified by the Straus Institute at Pepperdine and operates a boutique mediation firm with a focus on real estate. Prior to law school, Tamara graduated from UCLA with a BA in Chinese history and lived for a year in Beijing where she taught English to high school students and became conversant in Mandarin.
Today she gracefully balances vineyard business with family life, two very busy children, and a daydreaming husband to keep everything running smoothly at the ranch.
